Greetings from Phnom Penh.
At the far end of Sisowath Quay (Sisowath Quay), the hotel Himawari Hotel (to be precise, 313 Sisowath Quay) opened its own mini-brewery.
There is a small selection of beers, and the price tag is quite high.
Happy Hours – the best option to try a dark beer Gem and Jade, Pale Ale Nelson et Red Dragon Cider with unusual flavors (used in the preparation of such ingredients as pitahaya and black pepper). Close to Wat Bot, you will find «Munich Beer Restaurant» (68 Sothearos Boulevard) – another beer bar. Very popular among local residents drinking, with excellent appetizers and two main types of beer. At the bottom, if it’s hot, you will have to blow air conditioning, and the top offers a great view of the park Vietnamese Friendship Park.
Every evening in Phnom Penh has to start with admiring the sunset and river. For these purposes, be sent to any rooftop bar, for example, “Le Moon” (and another great watch the sunset from the deck of a cruise boat). When the night has come, it is time to dine well. Beer gardens and spacious restaurants scattered throughout the city, and most of them offer English menus, that’s great. «Sovanna Restaurant» on Street 21 (opposite Willow hotel) is popular among Cambodian families, expats and tourists – all come here for a late dinner, that serves pork grilled beef with pepper sauce, or healthy crab with rice and all drink relies Angkor beer (which will bring in a pitcher). Then go to the party. Flip through magazines, which can offer you the guest frienedly hotel – such as The Advisor and Wupp, and see which are scheduled concerts and parties. Bars and Equinox Metahouse, as a rule, do not disappoint – there is live music or DJs (on weekends).
But beer is not to sort out all the same. If you are interested in drag shows, something about them in more detail. Generally, tourists often expect “sharp little” night life, similar to that in Thailand, but Phnom Penh – categorically Bangkok. There are many taboos, and it sounds funny for a city known for its sex tourism. Fortunately, no prohibitions do not apply to drag shows and are currently in the capital, there are several places where you can enjoy this unusual activity. It is worth noting that these shows there is clearly not at such a high level as in Thailand, suits artists from some improvised, and crooked sing. Still, it’s fun! Existing since 2008, the club «Blue Chilli» (St 178, 36) – and a favorite among expats and locals.
